Jo-anne discovered her love of of acting and the art of punching through numerous staged combat productions. She can be seen kicking ass in the NYC cast of Point Break Live! Other acting credits include a co-starring role in the CBS series 'Blue Bloods', as well as one of the leads in Eric McGinty's award winning indie feature 'Wallabout.' She has studied acting with Caymichael Patten and on-camera scene study with Seamus McNally. She is currently taking class at MN Acting Studio.
Jo-anne Lee holds an BFA in Dance from Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia and an MFA in Dance from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. She was a founding member of the highly athletic Brian Brooks Moving Company with whom she performed and toured for eleven years. Her own choreography has been presented in NYC, Singapore and Taiwan, and she continues to work collaboratively with choreographers like Laura Peterson.
She has studied kung fu at the USA Shaolin Temple and continues practicing wushu, taichi, straight sword and other weapons at the Liuhe Ziranmen Wushu training centre. She is also a certified pilates and yoga instructor.
